Example: I am reading the book Wonder by RJ Palacio. The character I am choosing is Auggie. If I were invited to Auggie's birthday party I would buy him a insecurity meter. This insecurity meter would allow him to see into other kids heads what they are insecure or uncomfortable about like Auggie is about his appearance. I think that Auggie would enjoy his new present, because it would help him to feel more like the other children by knowing he isn't the only one that has insecurities about themselves.

ReplyDeletei would get a gift for mrs.olinski. i would get mrs.olinski a new wheel chair. this wheel chair would not be like most wheel chair would be auto powered and every person who insults her gets zapped. so she isnt under estimated by people. i think this would make her feel better about herself .
I am reading the book The View from Saturday by E.L. Konigburg. I am choosing Mrs. Olinski. If I was invited to her birthday party, I would give her a TARDIS so she could go back in time. I would show her how it worked so she could go back to that day and not have gotten in a car accident. I think she would be glad that she had more room to write things on the blackboard, she would not have any more worries about her legs.

If I was invited to her birthday party I would give her her a digram of her family tree. I think Nadia will enjoy her gift so she knows how every thing fits in together. Nadia will then know how she is related to all this people.

I would buy her a new sketch book because if she uses her old one up. Then i would buy her some index cards because she needs some index casrds for Davids words cards.
I think Catherine would be very happy to get her stuff because gher parents and because if she runss out of room she will have a new 1 and will not have to save her money for a new one.
If I were invited to Maniac's birthday I would buy him all the encyclopedia. I think he would like it because he loves to read and he always wanted to read the encyclopedia. His reaction would be happy because he loves to read. Then he would not won't ask Amanda for her books to read.

ReplyDeleteIm reading the book Freak the Mighty and I choose Freak (Kevin). I would get Freak a suit that he could put on and it would help him move his legs and it would help his body grow so he would be normal again and he could walk with out crutches or a leg brace. I'd get him that because he can't walk and his body wouldn't grow but his insides will.
ReplyDeleteI would buy Freak a special kind of mirror that would allow him to see himself as whatever he wanted to look like. In this particular mirror he could see himself as a normal kid, a superhero, or even a robot! I would buy him this present because he told Mighty that he wants a surgery to make him one of the first human robots. Mighty doesn't like the idea since the surgery is very dangerous. I think Freak would like this present because then would feel more confident about the way he looks and might just find another way to live without the dangerous surgery.

I am reading Freak The Mighty. the character I'm choosing Is Max. I would get Max an invention called the "Understandinator." This invention help Max understand what Freak is saying in easier English. I think he would like this present very much because then he wouldn't have to look anything up in the dictionary any more. I think he would react very happy to this gift!
